Have you wanted to paint but don't know where to start? With over 40 years of painting experience and 32 years of teaching experience, artist Taina Mantey will introduce you to painting. Learn the basics of materials, painting in monochromatic tones to focus on values, the color palette and painting in multicolor, how to choose a great composition, and how to develop a painting from beginning to end. We will start with a series of smaller paintings that teach skills and progress to the subject matter of your interest. This class will be relaxed and focus on your skills. The first class will be dedicated to choosing materials and small exercises so you can purchase your supplies.
