DESCRIPTION: Rare Seeds & Letterpress Workshop\nAges:&nbsp; Adult\nCost :&nbsp; $245\nLocation: Gallery Studio, Bldg #46\nInstructors:&nbsp; Holly Wren Spaulding, Cathie Royer & Phil Driscoll\nSaturday, Apr. 23rd&nbsp;at 9:30 am - 4:00 pm &&nbsp;Sunday, Apr. 24th&nbsp; at 9:30 am - 12:00 pm\nOn the first day, nationally known poet Holly Wren Spaulding will lecture and offer students close reading and guided writing experience in the morning.&nbsp; Students will revise their work and give peer feedback in the afternoon.&nbsp; Students will explore the uses of persona in writing and will focus on the role plants can have in the creative process.&nbsp; Lunch is provided in this workshop.&nbsp;Please bring a notebook and a writing utensil. \nOn the second day, ACA letterpress artists, Cathie Royer & Phil Driscoll, will share how typeface choices and the use of white space can be integral to the poem and finished piece.&nbsp; Platen and proofing presses and a variety of wood and metal types allow printing broadsheets and/or more intimate prints.&nbsp; Letterpress lends itself to multiples; students will select one or more prints for the ACA to exhibit in the Croswell Opera House Theater Gallery in July and take the others home.&nbsp; The Letterpress Classroom is in a historical building.&nbsp; Participants will have to use stairs.&nbsp;\n\nFor details, click here: https://aca.secure.nonprofitsoapbox.com/042322-poetry-letterpress-morning
